Peshawar, at the east end of the legendary Khybar Pass, is a
kaleidoscope of Asian people. A frontier town coming straight out of a storybook
with loads of history and a buzz of romance and danger. Although wearing guns in
public is now discouraged, the laws of Pakistan apply only as far as the edges
of the city. Visiting Peshawar is an unforgettable experience with the friendly
Afghan people (mostly refugees) giving the city a lot of personality.
